an Somerhalder has reached 2 million followers on Twitter just weeks after his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev. The Vampire Diaries actor was so happy to accomplish this amazing feat and he let all of his "online family" know just how he feels about it. 

"Wow!!!! Just realized! 2 million twitter family members! Thank you all, I feel oddly connected to every one of you. Really," Ian tweeted adding, "and by ODDLY I mean, connected in the coolest way. Just my way of explaining things." As previously reported, Nina hit 2 million a few weeks back and many assumed that Ian wouldn't be far behind—and alas those fans were right.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev's popularity is increasing the more that people learn who they are.
